The 26th Annual Seattle Parasitology Conference will be held on Thursday, May 8th & Friday, May 9th, 2014 at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute.

Seattle BioMed is pleased to welcome Keynote Speaker Piet Borst, M.D., Ph.D., Group Leader, Division of Molecular Oncology, Netherlands Cancer Institute, and Invited Speaker Marc-Jan Gubbels, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biology, Boston College.

The conference will begin mid-morning on Thursday, May 8th, with a reception and poster session that afternoon. Talks will begin again Friday morning, May 9th, with the conference wrapping up in the late afternoon.

Registration & Fees

Registration for the 2014 Seattle Parasitology Conference is now open. Registration fees include lunch (both days), continental breakfast (Friday morning), and refreshments for the poster session (Thursday afternoon).

Fees are $95 all attendees. The registration deadline is Monday, March 31st. There will be an additional late fee of $50 assessed for registrations received after the deadline.

Abstract Instructions (for talks or posters)

Abstracts must be submitted for consideration for talks or the poster session. Abstracts are due Monday, March 31st. Abstracts may be submitted for talks or for the poster session here.

Talks are 15 minutes in length, with an additional 5 minutes for questions. Your abstract should include a title, all authors and associated organizations, and the abstract body itself. The abstract body should be no more than 300 words; you may be asked to edit your abstract for space considerations. Authors will have a chance to make final edits before the abstracts are printed. 

Posters should be no wider than 42"x42" (WxH). Smaller sizes are acceptable. Prior to the meeting, a poster number will be assigned to you; numbers will be posted for ease of viewing.
