Principal Investigators
At Seattle BioMed, 16 world-renowned scientists, called principal investigators, lead our research efforts. Each of these scientists heads an independent research lab with a focus on studying bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi using molecular biology and genomic approaches. Our scientists cut across a wide variety of disciplines and areas of expertise, allowing for the exchange of ideas that is the hallmark of our collaborative nature.
Our investigators have chosen to study diseases that pose the world’s biggest threats to health, but are often the most neglected in terms of research. They thrive in Seattle BioMed's environment that brings together the brightest scientific minds with the most innovative technologies to generate new knowledge, develop innovative solutions and ultimately combat the world's deadliest diseases.
